Examining The Food Desert Phenomenon in Urban Neighborhoods

This thesis examines food deserts in their entirety: where do they exist, why do they exist, who they are affecting, and how they can be resolved. The goal was to create a credible prototype for neighborhoods and towns suffering from the food desert crisis to diminish its affects. By connecting the production, distribution, consumption, and post-consumption life of food, this prototype is successful.
